FireScope Terms of Service

Effective date: 2026-07-13

1. Service overview

FireScope is a wildfire monitoring application that aggregates signals from public data sources (for example, satellite detections, public emergency updates, and optional community reports) and presents them for situational awareness.

2. No emergency guarantee

FireScope is provided for informational purposes only. FireScope may contain delays, inaccuracies, incomplete information, or outages. Do not rely on FireScope as the sole source for life-safety decisions. In emergencies, follow instructions from official authorities and emergency services.

3. Acceptable use

4. Community reports

If FireScope allows community submissions in your deployment, you are responsible for the content you submit. Community reports may be moderated, removed, or marked as unverified.

5. Third-party data sources

FireScope may display information originating from third-party sources (for example, public Facebook Pages, public RSS feeds, satellite providers, and ADS-B aircraft broadcasts). Those sources are governed by their own terms. FireScope does not guarantee availability or accuracy of third-party data.

6. Intellectual property

FireScope and its interface are protected by applicable intellectual property laws. Third-party content remains the property of its respective owners.

7. Privacy

See Privacy Policy and Data deletion instructions.

8. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, FireScope is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind, and we are not liable for any damages arising from use of the service.
